Indian Army Kills Three JeM Terrorists
Srinagar: Three Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorists were on Sunday killed in an ongoing encounter at Tarigam area of Kulgam district in Jammu and Kashmir. The Deputy SP Aman Thakur attained martyrdom during the operation, reports claimed.
Meanwhile, an Indian Army Major and a jawan are said to be injured. The operation is currently underway.
The encounter broke out in the afternoon on Sunday after the security forces, including the J&K police and Indian Army, launched a search and cordon operation over a tip-off about 2-3 terrorists hiding in the region.
The operation comes a few days after the dastardly Pulwama terror attack in which 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans were killed after a JeM ultra Adil Ahmad Dar rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a bus of the convoy of the security forces on February 14.
